For more information on each therapist please click on the the name or website. (This will open a new window.).
Please note that Practitioners advertising and working from our site do so on thier own proviso and East Finchley Consulting (EFC) accepts no responsibility for claims made by individuals on this page or elsewhere in relation to thier work from our room hire site. Nor can EFC vouch for any Practitioners style or quality of practice, after all counselling and psychotherapy are very personal projects and EFC is not privy to, nor do we seek clients/patients views on thier therapy experience. However, should you wish to check a Practitioners credentials you can directly ask them for proof of thier qualification to practice or other evidence of competancy, and if they are insured in thier style of working. Most though not necessarily all Practitioners on our site are accredited/registered with professional bodies such as the UKCP, BACP, BABCP, BPA etc. or are at an advanced stage of training.. this gives you the possibility to check with these bodies that your practitioner is registered with them before proceeding. That said such registration does not necessarily confer ability and some Psychotherapy/Counsellor practitioners choose not to register with professional bodies and this should not be taken to suggest that the person of choice is not right for you if you are otherwise satisfied. Please however note that Psychologists unlike psychotherapists or counsellors have to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) if they are using one of the following titles - clinical psychologist, counselling psychologist, educational psychologist, forensic psychologist, health psychologist, occupational psychologist, sport & exercise psychologist, registered psychologist or practitioner psychologist... they can of course opt to also register with other bodies as well. If in doubt check up on your therapist, but there is not such thing as absolute certainty in something so personal and sometimes the proof of the pudding is simply in the eating.

I am a registered member of the BACP and an experienced Counsellor. At times life can be challenging and it is difficult to cope. Whether you are suffering after a bereavement or divorce, whether you are experiencing panic attacks, general anxiety or depression, therapy can guide you to a better understanding of yourself and how to cope. I work mainly with a psychodynamic approach, recognising that current distress and experiences may be influenced by early life experiences. I will provide a safe, warm and confidential enviroment to identify, explore and work through what is troubling you. This approach is aimed at allowing you to understand yourself at a deeper level rather than purely seeking symptom relief. For further information please visit my website at www.laurahunter-therapy.com or call me on 07900477144
I am trained as an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor and I am qualified to work 1:1 with those aged 16+. I offer weekly sessions in both short-term and long-term contracts. Whist I tailor types of therapies according the clients' needs and aims, I have particular interest in how our earliest experiences (attachment bonds) create a template for our ways of relating to our selves, others and the world around us. Therapy is about understanding ourselves better in order to create the space to make changes and to develop into the people we want to be. If you would like to know more, please see my website www.feliciasmithkleiner.com. My number is 07966 061549 and my email address is email@example.com.
